Queen Mary Hotel
During my trip in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to stay at the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach. My stay was so enjoyable. The Queen Mary is a historic ship now turned hotel and attraction site. It is like staying in a museum. Artifacts and pictures are everywhere you turn. The rooms are very similar to the cabins on early 1900s ships. Even the windows are actual portholes that open and everything. So many great restaurants are located on the boat for your convenience. There were various attractions such as Princess Diana’s dresses, a haunted tour, a 4D Theater, and much more. I even received word that they will have a Titanic Exhibit soon.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by bell hops readily available to help with bags. It was great to know there was assistance because I am not ashamed to admit that I do not pack light lol There was a slight inconvenience with check in though. The check in for this particular hotel doesn’t begin until 4 which I feel is a little late. It was saddening for me as I was so eager to get into my room and explore the hotel before having to head out for my scheduled activities. Luckily, the staff was so amazing and accommodating of my situation. Housekeeping was able to rush the room to get us in quickly.
Our room was spacious and clean. We stayed in one of the ‘Family 2 Queens‘ rooms. There were multiple full body mirrors which made life so much easier for us outfit conscious ladies. When looking out our windows, we were able to see the ocean. It was extremely breathtaking. We had so many activities scheduled for that day that we weren’t able to see too much of the hotel our first night.
The next morning, the first order of business was to get straight to the gym! There’s so many good restaurants to go to and great cuisines to try in California but they were catching up to me. There was a broken treadmill in the fitness facility which did hinder the ability of having multiple people doing cardio. However, I was able to get a great partner workout in. There was ample room for us to lift and even lunge back and forth across the hotel. It was the perfect temperature and water and towels were available too.
It was so fun to see everything the ship had to offer. We walked around the deck. There were pictures all around. The gift shop had so many great selections too.
My manager, intern and I had a great breakfast at Chelsea Chowder House and Bar. We ate a delicious breakfast buffet. Be sure to grab some of their pancakes! There was also a full breakfast and drink menu. The wait staff there was extremely helpful! I got so full lol I wanted to just go take nap but we didn’t because there was so much to see.
Following the amazing breakfast, we immediately went to the 4D theater. I was too hype to go there simply because they were playing Spongebob. Talk about big kid! The effects were so real. During the movie, bubbles flew around us, water sprayed, and we could feel the jellyfish tentacles moving around our feet.
Check out was super quick and easy too. I was able to go to their computer room and print off some concert tickets I needed really quickly. Another thing I found really helpful was the ride pick up lane. Each time we requested an Uber or Lyft it was convenient to tell the driver where exactly we are because there was a designated location for this type of pick up.
If you’re ever in Los Angeles or want something new to see, make sure you check them out. They have plenty of family friendly attractions and there’s something to do for everyone. Thanks again Queen Mary! I can’t wait to come back.
I wore this new, soft bodycon dress from genrevaein.com with my snake skin heels. I did my makeup to match the dress so I actually loved this look today. So effortless and fun. Be sure to share your thoughts with me!
